CAPT Stockton Chapter Elections Update
Important Information Regarding Returned Ballots
April 30, 2026
CAPT has received reports from Stockton Chapter members that some ballot envelopes are being returned by the U.S. Postal Service.
After checking with a local post office, it appears the issue may be related to how the return address is formatted on the envelope, leading automated mail sorting equipment to misread it.
What To Do If Your Ballot Was Returned
If your ballot has been returned to you, then please follow the mailing instructions below:
1. Cross out only your address on the envelope, including the address, city, and zip code. Leave your name.
2. Do not alter the mailing/delivery address.
3. Re-mail your ballot as soon as possible.
Will This Affect Your Vote
No.
As long as your ballot meets the standard requirements (including your name and signature on the return envelope and timely receipt), your ballot will still be valid and counted. For your ballot to count, it must be received by the close of business on May 12, 2026. The ballot count, conducted by an independent firm, will take place on May 13, 2026.
If you continue to experience issues or need a replacement ballot, please
contact CAPT Headquarters right away at 1-800-677-2278.
