CAPT Forum Policy  

CAPT's forum is a discussion forum and news update service. In addition to acting as the professional organization for California's licensed Psychiatric Technicians, CAPT also is the elected union representing the 7,000 Psych Techs, PTAs and related employees who work in state hospitals, developmental centers and state adult and youth prisons. CAPT's website is www.psychtechs.net. This is a forum for all Psych Techs and others to share views and ideas on issues relating to Psych Techs. This forum -- which is viewable in its entirety by the public -- is for informational purposes. Professional behavior and respect toward all other posters is expected and appreciated. All messages are moderated; as such, it may be some time before messages appear. CAPT has sole discretion over what we do and do not post, or who may be a participant. Items that will not be approved through moderation include discussions of a libelous, inflammatory or derogatory nature, especially directed toward specific individuals or groups; discussions pertaining to other unions; discussions promoting contract registries or advertisements; discussions favoring recruitment at one facility over another (known as "pirating"); discussions relating to specific, personal representational issues.
